Hi, I'm Julie / Jing-ru 静如. I was born and raised in Shenzhen, a young coastal mega-city in the Greater Bay Area in Southern China known for its tech and design momentum. I spent my most formative years between Beijing and different cities in the United States. Those eight years shaped my profound curiosity in cross-cultural storytelling and art in all its forms. I moved to Paris to undertake postgraduate studies in art history at the Sorbonne under the direction of Philippe Dagen. I have since put down roots in the City of Light and continued to share my passion for culture and history with like-minded individuals.
As a national licensed guide (guide-conférencière) and an academically trained art historian, I have given lectures and conducted studies on art history and the art market with global perspectives in three different languages. I offer private art tours not only at national and Parisian museums, art foundations, galleries, heritage sites, but also during major international art fairs. My strong academic background in art history allows me to provide my audience with a clear and critical understanding of the ever-evolving art scene. As a cross-cultural communicator, I always adapt the guiding experience to different art forms, historical periods, and geo-cultural contexts.
